Rock Climbing – A Driving Passion

My first time rock climbing was at the REI Pinnacle in Seattle as a 13 year old.  I was with my brother Nate, who encouraged me to give the thing a try.  I loved “climbing this cool thing!”  I didn’t climb again until I was 23, on my first trip to Joshua Tree I saw these giant rock piles that begged to be climbed.  I then realized how much I liked “climbing up things”.
